Seth Godin has his list of five items that make blogs work. I agree with him.
1. Candor
2. Urgency
3. Timeliness
4. Pithiness and
5. Controversymaybe Utility if you want six).
The problem is pretty obvious. Non-profits can’t afford to be controversial. The list below is probably accurate for non-profits, but you’ll never really achieve outside reach unless you’re controversial.
